Artist Statement

My interpretation of an art object is to inspire and create a unique image for the viewer. Art is able to stimulate significant emotions and can address a subject matter that words can not describe. Jewelry identifies and defines the individual wearing the object. Contemporary conceptual art jewelry expresses thoughts and feelings relative to the artist and their experience. Body adornment molds a story for the wearer. I am inspired by the experiences I have through traveling, hiking and other various outdoor activities. The art work represents life, power and happiness through many different organic shapes and forms. My art practice embraces play and investigates contrasts in textures, colors and material, creating visual impact. There is a relationship between audience, the object, and the maker.
